It’s amazing when a shot comes together perfectly, even though it wasn’t planned. That’s what makes it special, catching something just before it happens and knowing you need to act fast without overthinking. Two pictures, but only one moment to capture it.
Sometimes, it feels like those moments find you, not the other way around.
When Color Isn’t Enough
In every photoshoot, I always add some black-and-white photos. Why? Because when you see them, it's hard to picture them in color, it just feels right. Picking which ones to make black-and-white isn’t always easy. It’s more about the mood and feeling, something beyond the photo itself.
Like a chef carefully arranging a meal, I choose certain pictures to be black-and-white to give them a special touch.
Capturing the Craft
Just like everywhere, I see beauty in the details of the barbershop, focused hands, shiny tools, and quiet moments of change.
As a photographer, I want to highlight the artistry in these everyday scenes. The barbers are artists in their own right, shaping not just hair but also the confidence of their clients. It’s not just about the haircut, it’s about capturing the process, the tools, and the bond between the barber and the client.
Through my lens, I aim to show the craft in its simplest form, balancing stillness and motion, simplicity and detail.
Feeling the vibe
Every barbershop, just like every place, has its own unique vibe. I always try to fit in and understand what kind of photos would truly capture that essence.
Is it easy? I don’t know, but it feels natural to me.
I consider myself sensitive enough to feel the atmosphere of each space, which helps me take photos that reflect what makes each barbershop special, not just barbershops, but every place I visit.
