I DON'T FOCUS ON THE ROOM
Rooms like this, it’s never really about the room.
It’s how people move inside it.
How they sit without thinking about it.
How the light falls and suddenly everything lines up for a second.
I’m just there, watching for that moment.
Not directing too much, not interrupting it.
Just letting it happen, and being ready when it does.
WHAT I KEEP
At the table, it’s never about everything at once.
I focus on small details.
The way she reaches for the food, the glass, the light on the table.
I don’t need more than that.
That’s where the image is.
WHAT I CHOOSE TO SEE
Nothing changes, except the focus.
Two glasses on the balcony.
Or the tree down on the street.
Same scene, different intention.
That’s where the image shifts.
NATURAL FLOW
I’m more interested in what happens between things.
Not the big gestures.
But the small ones.
Pouring tea, then sitting back.
A short pause where nothing is really happening.
That space in between is where I usually find my frame.
LAYERS OF A SCENE
There’s a lot happening in a buffet.
Food, glasses, hands, movement in every direction.
I separate it in my head.
One moment is about the person choosing.
Another is about the details left behind.
Wine glasses, plates, small arrangements.
Different layers, same place.
THE ROOM ITSELF
Sometimes it’s just the room.
No people, no movement.
Just the bed, the corner, the way the light settles in.
I pay attention to how everything sits together.
The colors, the lines, the balance.
If it feels right without adding anything,
that’s enough for me.
COFFEE BREAK
Two people, coffee, a table between them.
Nothing special happening, and that’s exactly the point.
Talking, listening, short silence in between.
I stay with what feels natural in those moments.
That’s usually where the frame finds itself.
